Alison Pace’s Literary Soundtrack

May 25th, 2006 by Michelle

Okay, so Alison Pace is my kinda girl. Not only does she have a literary soundtrack for her new novel, Pug Hill; she’s actually created a Pug Hill imix on itunes (and she’s not afraid to include Rod Stewart and The Cure on the same playlist). If you like the tunes you see below, just go to the imix section and search Pug Hill.

Throughout my novel, my protagonist Hope often hears music playing her head. She also hopes that once again she’ll meet a man who will make her a mix-tape. So I made her one. Herewith “The PUG HILL Soundtrack: Music from and Inspiring to The Novel, PUG HILL”

I Don’t Want To Talk About It, Rod Stewart
> Crazy, Patsy Cline
> You Keep Me Hanging On, The Supremes
> The District Sleeps Alone, The Postal Service
> David Duchovny (Why Won’t You Love Me), Bree Sharp
> Otherside, Red Hot Chili Peppers
> What If, Coldplay
> Sunday Morning, Maroon 5
> Only One, James Taylor
> Pictures of You, The Cure
> Song For You Far Away, James Taylor
> The Rainbow Connection, Willie Nelson
> Ooh La La, Rod Stewart
> Do You Want to Dance?, The Beach Boys
> Stop!, Erasure
> Ready, Cat Stevens
