picolata

June 21st, 2006 by Michelle

Dan Wickett points out today in his EWN newsletter the debut issue of a new online litmag, The Picolata Review. Named for an obscure village on the St. Johns River, The Picolata Review is “dedicated to great writing by talented authors and poets who are also just a little west of famous.” It’s a great-looking journal with some interesting content. This month, there’s an interview with Pulitzer Prize winner Lee Martin, as well as Dan Wickett. The Picolata Review is edited by author and journalist Mark Pettus, fiction writer Lisa Coutant, a poet named Andy who gives his last name only as H, and a sex writer with a name I wish I’d thought of, Serenity Banks.

About Sans Serif

Sans Serif began as a literary blog in September of 2005. Over time it has evolved into a more eclectic venture, with posts on books, politics, current events, literary happenings in the San Francisco Bay Area, publishing news, the writing life, and writing exercises. This blog is written by Michelle Richmond, author of four books of fiction: The Year of Fog, Dream of the Blue Room, The Girl in the Fall-Away Dress, and No One You Know (forthcoming, 2008).
