It would perhaps be unfair to Kevin not to mention that, the night before his latest shooting test, he’d been awake with Oscar from about midnight to three.

I know some people do perfectly well without sleep, but we’ve yet to master it. Sleep is like chocolate–when you don’t get enough, you think about it all the time. I can’t stop thinking about sleep, how nice it would be to just lie down and doze for six or seven hours straight.

The best novel with sleep in the title: Death, Sleep, and the Traveler, by John Hawkes.
