Point Clear - a new novel by Jennifer Paddock

August 14th, 2006 by Michelle

nullI blurbed it, now I’m blogging it. Why? Because it’s a really good book, and it will put the melancholy on you in real good way. Jennifer Paddock, acclaimed author of A Secret Word, returns with a novel set in a small Gulf Coast town on the eve of a hurricane. Paddock is at home writing about the athletic possibilities of the human body as she is writing about the properties of water. In Point Clear–a luminous celebration of swimming, tennis, and Mobile Bay–the two converge with elegance and grace. Like the eye of a hurricane, Point Clear is filled with mystery, suspense, and beauty.
