looking forward to…

Two if By Sea, the debut story collection by Anne-E. Wood, forthcoming from Fourteen Hills Press. Anne-E. is one of the most talented writers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and this collection of 20 plus stories promises to knock your hot little socks off.

And Smonk, by Tom Franklin, just out from William Morrow. Fans of the Southern gothic who are not averse to gore will likely enjoy this bloody romp set in small town Alabama. Spend a night alone with Deadwood reruns, a bottle of whiskey, and this book, and your dreams just might be populated by foul-mouthed, snaggle-toothed rogues equipped with guns, knives, and bad attitudes.
