Anne E. Wood at Radar

Anne E. Wood, author of the wonderful story collection Two if By Sea, will be reading and participating in a panel at Michelle Tea’s Radar Reading Series at the main branch of the San Francisco Public Library tonight at 6:00. Anne E. is ultra cool, and so are her stories, and Michelle bakes the best cookies. And a reminder: my launch party for THE YEAR OF FOG is tomorrow night at Books Inc. in Opera Plaza, 601 Van Ness. a day late

I’m a day late to the April Fool’s party. April 1st always registers in my mind as my sister’s birthday, so I tend to forget it’s the day when the gullible among us are most at risk. Yesterday, Ed Champion reported that Jane Smiley’s going to stop writing about horses, Martin Scorcese is going to direct the film adaptation of Richard Yates’s Revolutionary Road, and Jonathan Lethem is embarking on a five-year book tour.
