this fellow has style

When I stumbled upon the blog Right Reading, I was struck by how great-looking it is. Then I realized that blogger Tom Christensen is the director of publications at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. He also happens to be a typesetter, graphic designer, and illustrator. On the about page, Tom says the blog will mainly cover “issues of print and electronic publishing. That includes writing, editing, translation, literature, graphic design (including photoshop and illustrator techniques), photography typography, webwork, and related topics.” The blog is as interesting as it is eclectic–go see for yourself. He also has a great blog “about Mesoamerica and the Maya world” called Buried Mirror.

About Sans Serif

Sans Serif began as a literary blog in September of 2005. Over time it has evolved into a more eclectic venture, with posts on books, politics, current events, literary happenings in the San Francisco Bay Area, publishing news, the writing life, and writing exercises. This blog is written by Michelle Richmond, author of four books of fiction: The Year of Fog, Dream of the Blue Room, The Girl in the Fall-Away Dress, and No One You Know (forthcoming, 2008).
