I want my tea & cookies

Love food? Then you”l love this blog. It’s about food, but it’s also about plenty of other things. For example, today’s post about Miss Tea’s new dining room table is a kind of treatise on time management, a manifesto on living well, a celebration of the dining table as lifestyle: I want regular opportunities for shared meals that last late into the night, conversation and laughter floating out the open window. The article refers to my July 25 post about Duncan. Coe notes the coverage of Duncan’s suicide by bloggers, who weighed in on everything from her brush with Scientology to her mental state, without ever having actually met her. A portion of my post was based on statements made by friends and co-workers of Duncan in the LA Times that Duncan suffered from paranoia, as well as two quotes about paranoia that appeared in a...

When I stumbled upon the blog Right Reading, I was struck by how great-looking it is. Then I realized that blogger Tom Christensen is the director of publications at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. He also happens to be a typesetter, graphic designer, and illustrator. On the about page, Tom says the blog will mainly cover “issues of print and electronic publishing. That includes writing, editing, translation, literature, graphic design (including photoshop and illustrator techniques), photography typography, webwork, and related topics.” The blog is as interesting as it is eclectic–go see for yourself. He also has a...
