Norwegians Sing Children of the Rainbow

Forty thousand Norwegians gathered in the rain in downtown Oslo on Thursday to sing Lillebjorn Nilsen’s “Children of the Rainbow.” The crowd was protesting the hatred preached by Behring Breivik, who slaughtered more than sixty kids at an island retreat last year. In court, Breivik denounced the song, which describes a “world where every sister and brother shall live together,” as an example of Marxist influence on Norwegian children.
