Kate and Gerry McCann appeared on Oprah this week to remind the world that they are still seaching for their daughter, Madeleine McCann, who disappeared two years ago from a resort in Praia da Luze, Portugal. They showed an age-progressed sketch of Madeleine, whose sixth birthday is this month. “We’re looking for a six-year-old-girl,” Gerry stressed. Tony Sheneman insisted Tuesday that Lawless “is not at the center of the investigation and never was.” He added that he was dismayed to hear media reports that the pastor was a main suspect. “He has been interviewed as have hundreds of people,” Sheneman said. “Everyone that we speak to could be considered a person of interest. A year has passed since three-year-old Madelein McCann disappeared from her family’s holiday apartment in Praia de Luz, Portugal. Despite the massive international campaign to find her, there have been very few clues as to what may have happened to her. Although local police action has centered on implicating the McCanns in Madeleine’s disappearance, I believe entirely, based on everything we know about the case and about the McCanns themselves, that she was abducted. Police in the Algarve are preparing to do a re-enactment of the events that might have occurred on May 3, the night that Madeleine McCann went missing, according to The Telegraph: They will spent several hours in the ground-floor apartment from which Madeleine vanished and at one point an officer will push a bundle out through a half-open window.Detectives are now understood to be examining the theory that Madeleine was kidnapped, stolen to order on the instructions of a paedophile gang and might still be alive in Morocco.
