You may have heard about the Hipster Ariel Meme sweeping Tumblr. Unless you were born before 1995, in which case you’re probably still asking, whenever the word comes up, “What’s tumblr, again?” Maybe, like me, you signed up for a tumblr account but have never used it and have long since forgotten your username and password, and for all you know, someone out there could be using your tumblr identity for nefarious purposes. Every now and then, along comes a “meme,” whatever the hell that is, that appears to come out of that great head-scratcher in the sky with the missing vowel.

Ariel, like so many divas before her, has fully embraced the color red, and her red hair is the most prominent feature of the Hipster Ariel meme.

Such is the case with the Hipster Ariel meme. I’m not a hipster, and by the time Ariel came along I was already on to another redhead—Tori Amos–but for some reason, I can really relate to this one!
