Drue Heinz Literature Prize

The deadline is approaching for the Drue Heinz Literature Prize. The candy: $15,000 and publication by University of Pittsburgh Press.

The most recent winner is my fellow MacAdam/Cage author Todd James Pierce, author of The Australia Stories. His winning manuscript, Newsworld, was selected by Joan Didion, who called it “ambitious and exhilarating, an original collection awake to the larger world.” Newsworld will be published in September.

Deadline for the next prize: June 30.
You must have published a book-length collection of fiction or a minimum of three stories in nationally distributed magazines in order to enter. See details here.
