Fineline Competition

Monday, June 2, is the postmark deadline for the Mid-American Review‘s annual contest for prose poem and short shorts, or any prose work 500 words or less.

First prize is $1000 + publication. Ten additional finalists will also be named, with a chance for publication in the fall issue. This year’s judge is Aimee Nezhukumatathil, author of At the Drive-in Volcano and Miracle Fruit (both on Tupelo Press).

To enter, send up to 4 pieces of prose, 500 words or less each. Entry fee is $10–send check or m.o., made out to “Mid-American Review.”
