Also, catch Meredith Maran and Jane Juska at Phoenix Books on March 23, 6-9 p.m. Both will be reading from works-in-progress. The reading is to celebrate Phoenix’s 22nd anniversary, and it’s part of a progressive sale that runs March 21 to March 28. There will also be music and cocktails. I was lucky enough to read an earlier version of Maran’s novel, and it’s fabulous, a story that I think will prove to be close to the hearts and minds of many Bay Area readers. Not to be missed!
