Why Substack?

I’ve been writing here on The Caffeinated Writer for many years, but my method of sending out posts was fairly random. I’ve long been a fan of WordPress and have been using it for twenty years. While WordPress was a game-changer in the early 2000s, suddenly removing the hassle of HTML, it has never made sharing particularly easy. Over the years, most of my new readers have come from Google searches and from my Medium posts. I started using Substack about a year ago, because I thought it would be nice to create an easy way for writers who are interested in my articles to find and follow my articles. It’s also easier for me to keep in touch and read your comments.

I’ve been so impressed with the platform that I started a class, Writing for Substack, to walk you through the process of setting up your newsletter, writing meaningful posts, and connecting with readers. You can sign up here.
